History:
She had contracted HSV-II in 1987. She didn't know what it was or what the symptoms meant - was mis-diagnosed by family doctor. He said it was sciatica.
A couple of weeks later, she had an OB and showed me her lesion. It looked like a "cold sore" I suggested that she have it tested for HSV-II - test result was positive. Ironically, I had spent a few hours surfing the Web in early February, helping her son with a homework asignment (write a paper on Herpes) and had aquired quite a bit of knowlege on the subject.
She and I have gone our seperate ways. Major problem was the extreme guilt she carries for giving it to me. I see it differently. She didn't knowingly "give" me HSV-II; she didn't know she had it.
I'm not sure which is worse the Herpes or the break-up with a woman I truly loved.
