   Which STD are you referring to? There are different incubation periods and methods of transmission for different STDs.

   The 'incubation period' is the time between when you are infected and when you show symptoms. Keep in mind that STDs have evolved so that only a minority of people ever have noticable signs. Yes, many STDs are contagious during the 'incubation period'; chlmaydia, gonorrhea, herpes, HIV . . . .
